Fireplace Mantle: Citrus Orange Garland, a fun DIY
November 25, 2020
What’s more satisfying than doing a craft that turns in to a beautiful mantle decoration? I decided to make some sliced orange garland to add to the mantle this year! It’s simple, yet makes a statement with your holiday decor!
To make the orange garland, turn your oven on to 200 degrees and slice about 5-7 oranges into 1/4 inch slices. Lay the slices on to a parchment lined cookie sheet and bake for 4 hours, flipping over every 30 mines. You’ll know they are done once all the moisture is gone and they’ve turned a golden orange. Once the orange slices are dry string the yarn through the slices with a large needle to make the garland.
For the rest of the mantle decor you can get the supplies from target and michaels. You may want to order online as they seemed to be low on stock on the pom pom garland and bells when I purchased them. These bells are beautiful so beautiful, very heavy and classic https://rstyle.me/cz-n/essnapczgmf . The pom pom garland adds a nice touch of white while incorporating gold specs with the Christmas bells https://rstyle.me/cz-n/esspcwczgmf . The green garland is just perfect, it’s flocked with sparkles and has touches of red berries. I bought three strands for my mantle. https://rstyle.me/cz-n/essqb8czgmf
